I did a little experiment using white rubber eraser or gum eraser, a kind of thing that you usually meet in your pencil case. I carved a simple stamp and test it on natural linen. I tested two kind of paints, acrylic and fabric paints. This little flowers were stamped using fabric paints
If you have a round tip rubber eraser, or a traditional pencil with a round tip-eraser, you can use it too to make polkadot pattern
I stamped these polkadots using acrylic paints and round-tip eraser. The result of acrylic paints looks more saturated than fabric paints
The fabrics after hand-washed in cold water :
Both the acrylics and fabric paints gave me a great result, they didn't fade after hand washing. I hung them dry this morning. Let's see what happen this evening. I want to know which I one I should use, since acrylic paints tend to make the fabrics stiff
Have you ever try stamping on fabrics ?
