Hope you just had a great weekend.
I almost missed kids clothes week challenge (kcwc) this fall. For this season, only one item that I could sew. A bubble short, a pattern from Ottobre Design summer 2012, called Hula Hoop
This short is sewn from a gray linen, with a bright orange topstitching and a flowery sash. This is a simple bubble short you can make in an evening. The direction from the magazine is clear, except for its waistband instruction. Next time I will pull up the waistband using my own way. The original design is sash-less (is that a word?). I add the sash to add some colours and to catch my daughter's attention. She is too much in love with everything pink and flowery, and I am afraid that the gray color will turn her away.
Little miss Z just haven;t try it yet. I'll post some photos later.
The bubble short in the magazine was sewn in green cotton. Love that lime color. Maybe I have to try this pattern again in brighter hues. I have cut it in bright turquoise silky linen and lime linen
I just have no idea what kind of top/shirt she should wear with that gray bubble short :D
Any suggestion ?
